44PII aircleanner attachment

Bruce? Lester? Stefan? When attaching an aircleaner to the solexx 44PII how did you secure the 4 fastners? My safety wire drill jig uses 1/16" drill bit for bolts as small as the carb takes. I keep breaking bits attempting holes to safety wire the bolts. Obviously i do not want a bolt to loosen and go through the motor! What has anyone else done with any sucess.
I want an aircleaner on the car to keep rodents out of the motor...and you thought it was for air filtration..... ;)

I had the same problem. Those screws are HARD!
I ended up using thread locker.

In a world where I took the time to do things right, I would purchase
pre-drilled screws to replace the originals.
