After plumbing in a heater core as an additional heat sink for my ailing
cooling system ( until I could replace the radiator) I realized it was
the lower coolant hose that was soft and collapsing under sustained high
revs. Put all back together and the alternator light's on. Not charging.
What did I do removing the radiator ? Possibly disconnected a wire or
such ? After checking all connections, replacing the voltage regulator,
the jumper between it and the alternator, and the alternator itself, to
no avail, I eventually found the fuse for the turn signals and the horns
was blown. So I had shorted the horn wire, I guess. Replaced the fuse
and the alternator light is out. Please explain... I don't get it.
