I was unable to attend Carlisle, but did admire Thor's photos. There was one photo showing 2 sets of Sonett wheels on the ground - presumably for sale. Thor does not know the seller, so I am asking the group for help. Anyone know who it was who was selling these wheels, how much was being asked, and whether they were sold? I'd like to get in touch with the chap. (JPG attached).

Thanks for any leads.

I didn't see that particular set, but I sold a set of 4 JP alloys ( the ones that are commonly confused with Cromodora brand wheels) on Thursday there with center caps and the correct shorter (than soccerball) lugs. I sold them to another parts vendor- Fred Baker from Transportation Emporium ( www.TransportationEmporium.com) in Reading, Pa. (610) 207-2585
I won't say what I sold them for until you let me know what he is asking for them...;) About three years ago, I sold him my 1957 VW Type 2 panel van roller that I owned since the seventies, and he flipped it at Carlisle, also. I know he sold that for a lot more than I sold it to him for! Wonder if he ever got rid of the '69 Saab 99 bumpers and n.o.s. bumper overriders that I sold him last year? I was glad to get rid of those after lugging them back and forth for a few years.

I saw those wheels also. Fredric and Jonas from Sweden were trying to
contact the owner of those 5-bolt Soccerball wheels, they wanted to buy
them. I don't know if they bought them or not. They wanted them for a
Sonett. They stated that Sonetts were only sold in Sweden in 1969 and 1972,
mostly with steel wheels. They said all the other Sonett cars came to
America, mostly with wheels other than steel wheels.

Anyone with odd jp alloys please contact me. I do not care about broken centers not supporting center caps nor lug bolts! (Keep center caps and lug bolts!!)
I need a few nonstreetable / show rims for our race cars.
Thank you!
Chuck

I wasn't at Carlisle, but I sold 2 sets of Sonett wheels to Fredrik and Jonas here at my place a week or so before Carlisle, but I'm pretty sure those were going back to Sweden in their shipping container.
