Why-o-why is it , evry time i hang an exhaust system the center hangers align pretty close. Then i get to the resonator and the hangers are well over 1.5" ut of alignment? Resonator is always too far back.

I just put the stock system back on the wagon ( I love the quiet sound
after years of the MSS) and I had to add about that much to the rear for
alignment. Front pipe and hangar were right.

Welllll , the pipes with resonator came off a 96. So i did not consider any dificulty in instalation. Yes wagon systems are a bit longer than sedans. It fits now. I made an adapter to acomodate the difrence between mounts attached to resonator and holes in hanger that is part of the car.
Around 10PM last night test drove the car. Did about a 5 mile loop run. It is fun in 1st through 3rd gear. 4Th is all highway. 4.88:1 final drive. Three rather snappy gears will keep it driveable in town. Now , over time getting the rings to seat better to facilitate easier starting.

BTW front expansion chamber with sport exhaust and some agressive cleaning out of the ports is very rearding.... :)

Ok here's the situation:
A sprite / midget caliper kit does two saab calipers. A sprite / midget piston is nomillaly shorter than a saab piston. Take a 5/16" hex nut and tack weld it dead center of the piston (if upon test. Fitting into cup you find piston too high...grind off. A bit of the nut to get desired height.) (Nuts vary a bit in height) so the piston will not go into the cup beneath the dust and hydraulic seals. Wa-la! Presto-change-o! Fixed!
Now to put the "magic mechanic'd wand" back into the blow mold case and hide away from the children.

Will the pistons come out of the bores when the pads wear again ? And
what would ever cause them to be pushed all the way into the bore ? I
may even have a set of the " British" ones.

All the way into the bore will allow room to install new pads.
Match up your spridget piston to the saab piston. Not as much difrence as you'd expect.
