It's Done- SOC 2014!!!!

If you recall, I recently described that my dear wife makes all our vacation plans and I just follow along. And this year, it's the great Northwest! And when I finally got around to looking at the dates, I found to my dismay that we were returned on Aug 7th, the very day the SOC 2014 starts...


Well. I explained this all to my dear wife and we talked about the additional cost of the trip, including changing the flights and all that- $200 a piece, by the way. What a ripoff!


Last night she mentioned in passing "Oh, I changed our flights, got us a cheap place to stay in Bend to save some money, and are you going to register for the Saab convention or what?"


Wow! We're coming!!!! And am I excited!!!!


So do me a great favor when you meet her: please compliment her on how she made it happen for me to be there this year. Make a big deal of it!

I believe John Collins will have an "extra" 1970 Saab 96 there he will be selling... He may be able to loan it to you to get around that weekend? Who knows - you may not want to let it go -- and will drive it home. :-)

I would LOVE to do that! However, with 5 VSaabs including 3 96's... it would have to be special!

It's the 96 that took 2nd-place "Peoples Choice" in Colorado recently... (Picture shows a grille "badge-bar" and roof rack -- those are now on my other Saabs.)
