*I came across issue #3 of this mag. This was the start of the "Foreign
Car" invasion ( Jan. 1958) and it is amazing how many companies wanted
to get into this market. 'Small Cars' seems to be aimed more at
perspective dealers than the public and it is interesting to see a brand
new magazine just starting out. Note the editor's personal request for
input on the last page. If anyone has any info , I'm curious.
Issue #3 has driver's report on the 93B.
***My first car was a '61 Dauphine that I bought for $35 in 1965, and I
was hooked.*

That Fiat 600 looks pretty cool! Kind of a proto Kei car.

They are all cool ! Such variety and style. I love the copies of the big
American cars. This is issue #1 and at #3 they are still listing car
after car after car.... so few actually got any kind of foothold (
dealer/service network) . There is still a shop in my hometown called
New Canaan Foreign Car Service. Imagine the mechanics pretending to
understand the various mechanical nightmares of all these things.
From page 30 : the 93 ( in issue #3, May '58, it is a 93B, which is
interesting) : " Cutaway view of three cylinder engine and front-drive
arrangement shows the transmission is carried forward of differential ,
radiator forward of fan."

Hey Bill, That is a great issue and I have seen it but the owner would not part with it. I have been looking for another for a while now, so if you find one that is available at a reasonable price, I would love to own it and would happily reimburse you.
There were so many companies producing tiny cars, especially in Europe. I have been obsessed with these tiny cars for over three decades, and I am still learning about new ones all the time, especialy from the Eastern Block with amazing examples for Hungary, the former Yugoslavia and the Czech Republic!
Our Gould's Nineteenth Annual Microcar & Minicar Classic Event will be held here in Newton (near Boston), Massachusetts on July 11, 12 & 13, 2014, If you have any interest at all in these tiny cars, you should make plans to attend, as this is a European Style driving event and not just some "Park & Polish" car show on a hot asphalt parking lot. And, we find seats in the microcars for all guests who attend without a car, so you get to ride in the little cars to all tours and activities all weekend long. We will cover over 250 miles throughout the weekend, including an ascent up Mount Wachusett.
Finally, all vintage Saabs are welcome at this event, where you wil have the time of your life, with a full weekend jam packed with tours and activities, and our huge Memphis Barbecue and our world famous two stroke frozen Margarita party.
I can send a brochure and registration packet to anyone who wishes to receive one. Just send me your email address at ***@mac.com or send me a snail mail address if you prefer. Or, you can check out all of the details at Gould's M&M Classic #19! http://www.bubbledrome.com
