My 1974 99 (djet) has 12.6 volts at the battery, and the moment I place the ignition to the start position, voltage drops to 11.6. Car is having trouble starting.
So, I trace and traced the source, and discovered, that when I remove the wire off the ignition coil ( the number 1- not the positve 15) wire (ignition condenser) the issue goes away.
The low voltage results in a very weak crank(no start)..
Any help/suggestions would be great. Does this mean the condenser is bad?
Thanks in advance. Kari
