Here's a picture of the wheels I added this weekend. Maybe one of
the resident experts can tell me:

1. Are they "real?"

2. Are they "magnesium?"

Etc., etc., etc. :-)

No, they are only called 'magnesium' but it is an aluminum/magnesium alloy.
Pure magnesium metal would oxidise really fast and even burn in contact with
water or carbon dioxide....

Wheels in Ray's picture were made by "TUNA Verk" in Sweden. Saab
offered those for Sonett III -70. They are not magnesium. I had
these wheels in my 96 around 1972 or so. A couple of years ago I
managed to buy set of these wheels, they are getting quite rare
nowadays.
